Esrum Kloster has benn developed in cooperation with Esrum Abbey as the modern equivalent of the medieval abbey ale.

It is a top-fermented ale brewed with barley, wheat and rye malt, cane sugar along with lemon balm, lavender, rosemary, juniper and anise that grows in the gardens of Esrum Abbey.

The color is maroon, the nose is wonderfully strong and the taste is especially full and aromatic. This ale goes well with heavy meat dishes such as venison.

Best served at 50-54 degress F.
