The first ANUGA took place in 1951 - eating and drinking great again - were the slogan of those days. Also the Cologne brewers once again gained a foothold in the marketplace. First they brewed bottom-fermented beer such as Pilsner and Export. Kölsch was only this produced by the small privately owned breweries. But that changed quickly as Kölsch became the official beverage of Cologners. Brauerei Heinrich Reissdorf recognized its chance and rode the market trend to extending its brewing capacity for obergäriges beer. Many breweries did not trust the Kölsch boom or did not want to incur the costs of brewing obergäriges and this allowed Brauerei Heinrich Rissdorf in capturing the market.

But back to the year 1947: The Bauerei Reissdorf installed a new brewing pan with coal firing. Their installation was an enormous step to a new efficient brewery. One that prepared them for the years to come.
Starting on June 28th, 1948 Brauerei Reissdorf produced a single beer that was between 2 and 4% ABV, and bottles starting on May 1st, 1949. In 1949 an 8% Lagerbier and on August 12th, 1949 12% Export and a Kölsch, in addition to a dark Shankbier. Starting in in 1950 commodities were also sold again: EKU, DAB, Tucher and Würzburger Hofbräu.
Beer production increased considerable from the years before the World War. In 1980 the brewery sold its deilvery trucks in favor of independent carries. The top notch technical development of the brewery has allowed it to produce at the highest productivity for its staff. More than fifty years have passed since the first batch was brewed after the war, today 8-10 batches are brewed each day. It was thus worthwhile in rebuilding the brewery, even if the costs were very high. The satisfaction of having rebuilt the brewery and being rewarded by the market place is a great compensation for many hours of hard work.
The technical development of Brauerei Heinrich Reissdorf was, as with many others, shaped by the events of the last 100 years (War, destruction, economic swings and reconstruction). The latest technical upgrade of the Sudhaus assembly in the brewery was a completely computer-controlled 5-Geschirr Sudwerk with 5t pouring, which was installed 1990.
