In 1863 Paul was granted the title of Commercial Counsellor. This was also the year that gas lighting was installed in the brewery.

1866 - 1913 More demand and the brewery expands

In 1866 the distillation of spirits for household use became prohibited and this lead to the emergence of several competitors in the industry.

Paul Sinebrychoff was busy expanding the brewery during this time. In 1870 a cereal and beer store was added to the brewery. This store would later become a bottling plant. Also a new brewery building, bavarian malting house, malt and yeast store were added between the years of 1874 and 1880. The Nikolai warehouse was added in 1882 which would later be the site of the intermediate depot in Helsinki.
Paul Sinebrychoff retired from managing the company and Nicholas Sinebrychoff took over in 1878. Paul Sinebrychoff Jr. started managing the company thereafter in 1886 after a short attempt by Nicholas.

Paul Sinebrychoff Sr. passed away in 1883.

In 1888 the business become a joint stock company and was employing 230 workers and had a production value of FIM 1,341,000.

1917 - 1948 Independent Finland experiences prohibition

In 1917 Paul Sinebrychoff Jr. passed away and Axel F. Homborg took over the management of the company.

Two years later the Prohibition Act was passed.
